Raat Ngon (It is delicious)

Tampa to Atlanta to Narita, Japan to Bangkok, Thailand - just under 24 hours of actual flight.

Why did we watch the movie, Flight, during our sisters' weekend visit to Diane's in Ft. Lauderdale????

Plenty of time to dream about rice, noodles, pho, bun bo, cha ca, baguettes, curry and delicious local beer, coffee and wine.

Plenty of time to fantasize about spending a night on a junk; being entertained by water puppets; lunching with the Buddhist nuns whose orphanage we will visit; experiencing death-defying cyclo-rickshaw and tuk-tuk rides amidst the wild honking and chaotic traffic.

Plenty of time to reflect on the war that tore our nation apart - one I remember not at all fondly those years when I just started college - University of Akron - not Kent State because of the shootings on May 4, 1970 (I graduated from high school on May 30, 1970).  Author's note: I did transfer to Kent one year later and it was the smartest decision I ever made - graduating in June, 1975.

No problem picking up the rental car, a VW Beetle (my first car).  Wow, they're alot more spacious since that 1970 model! (Of course every car is spacious when compared to my Miata) ha ha

Very smooth check-in with Enterprise. No lines at the Delta check-in. Very short line for security. And plenty of time to get an affordable, good breakfast at the airport Columbia Cafe. Still have an hour before boarding my first flight for Atlanta.
